Our Story
Born from a simple truth: every grain of rice matters
We began the way most kindness begins — with a plate of food and someone who needed it. What started as sharing meals in our own neighbourhood in Toronto grew into a movement rooted in a yogic understanding of life: that all beings are connected, and that service to others is service to something greater than ourselves.
Hunger and poverty are not only human problems. A stray dog on a cold night, a bird in a harsh winter, a family skipping dinner so the children can eat — each of these is a call for compassion. We answer it with warm food, dignity, and consistency, refusing to decide whose hunger counts.
Today we recover surplus food before it is wasted, distribute nutritious meals, and support our community through some of its hardest moments — always with the same gentle conviction we started with.
